About Us Art Books etc. We are a small company offering quality art and design books at sensible prices.

For the past few years we have been visiting universities, colleges and schools to sell books direct to students, lecturers and librarians. You may have already bought books from us !!

About our Books

We stock hundreds of titles in this area of art and design. We purchase from publishers and book distributors worldwide, so you may not see a lot of our books in the high street. Our list does not stand still either. We are constantly updating and adding to our huge list of titles, so there's always something new to see. If you see what you want , then we recommend that you buy while you can.

Quite a few of our stocks are 'one-offs' so when they're gone, they're gone.
Making A Purchase We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order by phone and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

Shipping And Handling Delivery information.

We aim to despatch all in stock items within 4 days Monday-Friday. In addition we will confirm the order via email confirming the price and expected delivery date.

Charges:

UK - £2.95 per order - delivery within 4 days of despatch

Orders for the UK over the value of £25 are free of post and packing charges


EU - £19.95 per order - up to 10 kilos weight - delivery within 3-4 days of despatch

USA- £37.95 per order - up to 10 kilos in weight - delivery within 4-5 days of despatch

Asia - £56.95 per order - up to 10 kilos in weight - delivery within 5-6 days of despatch

Back Orders If your item is not in our stock, we will either have an order outstanding from the publisher or we will back order for you. In some instances the book is a one-off purchase for us and no further stocks are available - in this case we will have to cancel the order and no charges will be made.

With some books the publication date may be delayed by the publisher because of editorial or production delays. Additionally the title may be out of print or awaiting re-printing, this can be a problem as often the publisher does not indicate a time scale - your order can remain on back order until the titles is available if required.

A good proportion of our books are imported from the USA, we keep a high level of stock however there will be some times when we are awaiting a shipment delivery before we can send your book. We do however know what stock we are due to receive and will advise you of the timing.

We will of course email with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait regardless of availability.
Tax Charges For books shipped within the UK there is no VAT tax to pay on all books and magazines, this includes both illustrated and technical publications including practical books (eg: photography instruction manual)

For books shipped to EU and other countries, customers are responsible for any import duty / tax in their respective countries. We cannot advise you what these costs will be - please consult your local customs office for more information.

Guarantee <All our books will be in as new condition and not second hand - if any of the books are warehouse soiled you will be advised before purchasing with new lower price agreed. Should you receive any titles with damaged pages or error folding caused by a manufacturing problem please advise asap and refer to the returns page.>

Privacy Policy Art Books etc do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy Our policy is to ensue that you are satisfied every time you place an order with us.

1) If you are unhappy with an item when you receive it please return it, with the despatch note, unused and complete with the packaging. We will allow a full refund within 30days and will either credit your credit/debit card or send a cheque when we have inspected the returned item and are satisfied that it has been returned in the condition it was in when delivered to you. You will only have to pay for the return postage for the goods.

2) If you return an item to us which is faulty or which you did not order or for any other reason that is our fault, please contact us by phone or email to inform us and we will arrange a refund or replacement as agreed. If you return the goods to us we will also pay you the cost of any postage - please obtain a proof of posting.

3) Please note you will be responsible for the items until they reach us, please contact us by phone or email if further information about returning any item is required.

Remittance Terms
1) We always try to make sure that our prices are accurate but errors may occur. If we discover an error in pricing or the publisher / distributor has increased prices in any of the products in your order we will inform you as soon as possible. We will then give you the option of re-confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to reach you we will treat the order as cancelled. Should any payment have been taken for the cancelled order a full refund will be given.

2) Non EUcustomers are responsible for any tax / import duty in theie respective countries. There is currently no VAT or any other duty on books and magazines within the UK.

3) Prices are quoted on the Art Books etc site in UK pounds - outside the UK your card company will make a currency change as necessary and may charge a handling fee for this service.Please check the charges before placing your order as Art Books etc cannot be held responsible for any losses due to currency changes.

4) Many of the books shown on the site indicate an origional publishers price, this is often shown in US dollars, we are unable to invoice or charge in and other currency other than UK pounds.
